For the Love of Wisdom

Pastor Franseen shared this morning from I Corinthians 1:18-31 about where philosophy falls short in light of the wisdom of God's word

^{I Corinthians 1:19-20}

¹⁹ For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

²⁰ Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

 

The Corinthians Problem

Pastor Bob Franseen continued in Corinthians chapter 1 taking up in verses 10-17 and spoke about the 1st century church and the challenges they faced and what we can learn from them and apply to us today

I Corinthians 10:13

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
