Today on Labor Day, Pastor Franseen brought a message from Hebrews 13:7-8 on the subject of

listing to and getting advice from those that are more spiritually mature than us

 

 Hebrews 13:7-8 

⁷ Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

⁸ Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

The Key to Contentment

Pastor Franseen brought a message about godly independence

and the key to contentment

Hebrews 13:5-6

⁵ Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

⁶ So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

What is a Honorable Marriage?

Pastor Bob Franseen continuing in Hebrews took us to 13:4 today and spoke on 

the subject of marriage and being honorable in all things

Hebrews 13:4

“Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled:

but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” 

A Testimony of God's Faithfulness

Dr. Jim Tillotson, President of Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary in Akeny,Iowa

brought us a testimony of God's faithfulness 

Psalm 107:1-2

O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

Our Responses to the Work of God

Pastor Bob Franseen spoke today about the different responses we can have to the 

work of God in our lives and the lives of those around us.

John 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

always showing love to one another

shared from  Hebrews 10:19-25 about redeeming the time together as christians and preferring one another.

 

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
